Its snowing in Seattle!!!

after changing a set of new bedsheet, the bed feels especially comfy to sleep on. lying on the bed, muscles relax, mind slowly switching from the hectic workload to lalaland...

'thump thump!' at 2 plus.

scare the hell out of me. the knock on my door was so loud, i thought whatever has happened on this weird hour. well, something did happen, a pleasant surprise in fact.

its snowing in seattle!!!

i am feeling so 'high' about it till i cant get back to sleep. the beauty of snow... especially at night makes it even more romantic. it just falls, and hit you without realising it. the soft touch, the fluffy white snow thats so fragile, stirs up lots of emotions in me.

i dont wish to add that when day arrives, it will be the departure date of the snow.

i cant save it for its meant to go. probably its this whole process that will makes us to be more appreciative of its rare existence.

its ok... coz the photos are there to remind you.

its really ok... coz it has left a place in my heart.

a burning desire to dance in it, to reciprocate my love for you =)

i dont mind getting disturbed in my sleep, seriously. and i thank all who had wakie me and had shared this beauty scene with me. the company of you guys made this even beautiful... and i want to dance in it with all of you =)

its the comparison,
which made you approached me.
your initiative, your words,
they mean so much to me in a foreign land.
it motivates me and gives me strength,
sealed in a teardrop in UW.

Credits for my marketing research project not only goes out to the groupies, but also to the peeps (known -- JX and feng, and unknown) who has helped to fill in the survey forms.

Utilise all my networks over here but still couldnt get all the survey forms done. headed to the balmer commons and approached strangers to get it over and done with. learn that this kind of thingie must be thick skinned! luckily, nobody has rejected me hee hee. in fact, i made a friend John from Hong Kong. hope to catch him at FIUTS lunch next time. and another guy was a senior who took this module before. he gave me some tips on how to improve on this survey form. real friendly and helpful peeps!

Went to the FIUTS lunch as usual and was overwhelmed by the crowd... kids from some schools dropped by and we interracted with them. i approached 2 kids (i think they are about 9-11 years old) and tried to kick start a conversation with them. they are pretty shy and soft spoken, and i guess i bored them to death haha. probably coz i aint good with children, or i look too mean to them haha.

Jio-ed my cheapo buddy JX, and together with ling we went to get our freebies after the free lunch (haha both are free). the students were actually promoting a safe spring break - meaning must use condoms if you have sex and dont drink if you drive. so in our goodie bag, it contained 2 condoms coz the instruction book said that each time you need to bring two just in case haha. doubt ntu will ever have this kind of freebies going on haha. upon hearing about the contents of the goodie bag, tiran already booked the condoms from me le haha. dont know what he up to... this spring break in NYC... hahaha... tiran better be safe wor... if i know we have any missing pots and pans in the pantry, then we will know who has kapo it le lah keke =p

the freebies!

A gross entry, pardon me.

My toilet bowl started to choke yesterday right after i finished my big business. is it too big to get flushed down? or the problem lies with the sewage system itself? beats me. its a mess, coz it grinded the stuff but yet didnt want to accept it. kept flushing hoping that it would went through but it turned out worse -- my bathroom got flooded instead -_-"

no kidding.

it got so serious that the management went knocking on my door, saying that the tenant staying right below me informed her that her ventilator was leaking. i couldnt find any holes in my bathroom that could lead to the ventilator downstairs. what a joke to see water overflowing from my toilet bowl to the bathroom floor. a greater joke to imagine water dripping from the ventilator downstairs.

couldnt bear to flood the other tenant's bathroom as well, so i cleared the excess water and prayed that her bathroom aint in a worse condition as mine.

oh, did i mention that once my bathroom got flooded the toilet bowl is back to normal?

Its president's day -- meaning holiday! keke. Went to the pancake house for a way-too-full breakfast. too bad the promotion for the free flow of pancakes has ended, but well, we couldnt have eaten any extra pancakes either coz the portion is gigantic for breakfast alone.

vanilla shake tastes bad

too sweet for me

scramble eggs, sausuages and rosti are highly recommended!

Portland - Day 2

Started our day early at 8 plus and toured around Portland using their TriMet bus system. the tix cost us USD2 and once again, we were all too honest to cheat. nobody actually checked our tix but well, we have already paid for the fare hee hee. Went to a children's museum to take a look at some of the merchandise. couldnt get in coz we are all too old. nah just kidding. it cost us to go in so we rather took a walk around other areas.

Took the bus around Portland, went to dine at a japanese buffet restaurant (finally i get to eat sushi!), strolling at a park, taking photos, do some shopping (only got myself a postcard) and its time to bid goodbye to Portland.

All in all, i would say its an eating trip! haha... coz we spent so many hours eating good food yummy! its a pity that we didnt have time to catch a film since its the international film festival over there. a relax weekend - great company, fabulous food, romantic jazz =)

Seattle Premium Factory Outlet + Portland

After waiting for months, i finally laid my hands on new clothes! there are some inexpensive bargains that's worth spending, but its either for guys or the design doesnt catch my attention or the size doesnt fit me. well well, couldnt bear to leave the factory outlet empty handed so bought a roxy jacket and 2 shirts. its not cheap, and i couldnt say that its very expensive as well since the price range is about there for this brand. probably breakeven is the word to describe it. price aside, it feels awesome to go on a shopping spree, just that i dont have enough time to comb every single store. its ok, theres always a next time to burn a bigger hole in my pocket. hee hee.

oh ya and did i mention that i saw my ntu friend in the factory outlet?? haha what a small world. it turned out that she was on exchange to Vancouver. its really hard to imagine meeting friends in overseas haha.

Kept on drifting to and fro from dreamland while on our way to Portland. its really fascinating to ride our way down to explore on our own, and Ray has the biggest credit since he's our driver for this trip.

Guess people in Portland dine late at night. We could only get a seat in the restaurant at about 9 plus. Went exploring and took some photos along the way. its real cold at night, and if i'm not wrong it actually went past 0 degree celcius. braving the wind and hunger is worth it for our dinner is fabulous! the ambience and quality of food are really top class, and not to mention the price as well haha.

Since its the jazz festival (we are in luck!) we headed to a pub to listen to some live jazz. they are really passionate about it, both the performers and the audience. could see them swaying about, tapping their feet to the rhythm. woo hoo~
