Saturday was spent studying for my entrepreneurship midterm scheduled on monday. there was an extra acounting lecture as well, but i couldn't be bothered by it since i didnt read up the chapter before class and i needed the time to study as well.

feng demonstrated the chicken rice recipe and i was bothering him with questions about the chicken and the oil heehee. guess the recipe that he had downloaded from the web wasn't reliable since the rice doesnt have any fragrance at all. nevertheless, it was a new dish on our dining table and the soup was the best part of the deal, so much that its enough to last the whole 6 of us for lets say, 3 more dinners? keke.

Its not just an ordinary Sunday, its superbowl in action! hearsay that its the first time in 40 years that Seahawks managed to get into the finals. cool huh? I only realised that its a football competition only after i finished watching the game in haggart hall, UW -_-" my classmate, Linda told me that over in the states, football and soccer are totally 2 different sports. i mean my concept is, football = soccer and soccer = football, like how we use the terms interchangably back in spore.

anyway there are certain aspects of the game that's similar to rugby, with additional can's and cannot's. this is how i interpret the game, coz i couldnt really understand what's going on. all i know is that 2 teams with different jerseys (Seahawks is in blue, only knew it after i asked Jiaxiang, who was sitting beside me during the game haha) are fighting for a ball.

was expecting a crowd to be in haggart hall but people were few. guess most went to some pubs or party at home to immerse into the ambience. the duration of the game was 4h including halftime, but most of the time advertisements were on air instead of the actual game. Companies do pay a lot for the air time (think its millions) and i must say that the advertisements are awesome, witty and crazy and all sorts of stuff. this is the time where you get to see how creative they are in the advertising field and some of the advertisments are those that you wont be able to see it elsewhere. 2 thumbs up!

an additional bonus would be the free sandwiches and chips. cola was on the house as well. kinda bored as i couldnt understand the rules of the game, so i headed home after halftime heehee. by the way, the game was so popular that its actually an unofficial off day for many people. some shops were even closed and the economists estimated losses of millions? not sure about the statistics though.

Seahawks lost but they had tried their best and it was a good game afterall.

by the way, i had a shock of my life while checking my UW email. my accounting prof just emailed us that there will be a quiz on thursday, which is like 4 days from now??!!! gulp that's kinda last minute huh? packed schedules for 2 whole weeks. the mugging period reaches its peak.

just a small crowd (at most 100 people?) cheering for Seahawks!

Talked to 3 of my classmates and without failed, all of them caught superbowl on sunday. everyone in UW is talking about it.

Had my entrepreneurship midterm and the mcq answer is really ambiguous. its so different from the sample questions that our prof has shown us several days back. had a shock when i do the paper. thought its an opportunity for me to catch up with my classmates since its very difficult for me to score in written assignments (english is the word). no confidence in my answer at all.

Had an informal case presentation for my marketing research class. kinda nervous as its my first presentation in UW... reminds me of the times i presented back in NTU. feeling is the same, but audiences are different. presentations always create butterflies in my stomach but its a good stepping stone i guess, since i'm expecting a final entrepreneurship and marketing presentations in march.
