8 Jan 06

Its a lazy sunday and we had terriyaki chicken for lunch. Nothing much as its a homework day.

Had a slice of pizza at the UW Hub. It cost slightly less than USD2 but after adding tax (yes tax in school), it amounted to a sum slightly more than USD2. The high tax over here is killing me. Purchases to be made have to be calculated with taxes to make sure that we dont over spend our budget. This journey also trains me to be a smarter aunty who is always looking out for promotions! Haha.

Mugging in the Foster Library and as a result, i had forgotten all about the free lunch. To reduce cost, i packed 4 breads with skippy on it and took it to school. As lecture was starting soon, i had no choice but to ate it in the lecture theatre. Guess the lecturer saw me eating but i just continued anyway as i dont think its any offence. felt kinda pathetic to have breads for breakfast and lunch... sigh.

However, dinner was good! went to a korean restaurant and ordered a korean dish as well as my favourite tempura udon to be shared among ray, tiran and i. occassionally having a good dinner just brightens up our night and make us cherish our food even more. food is really a source of happy vitamins. i'll gladly take this vitamin everyday if my wallet is fatter.

Went Rite Aid with Hui Ling to do some shopping. yes its another supermart again. guess one of the stores that we always frequent are those groceries and minimarts. we are all experts in comparing prices and noting down which stores have the cheapest stuff... and which promotions are on etc. Like we always went to Safeway to get our 'buy one get one free' bread. However, promotion has ended which saddens me. if i knew it earlier i would have buy more loaves and then stock up in the fridge haha. oh ya and Trader Joes has the cheapest milk. Checking out discount coupons became one of the daily chores that we have to do haha.

Oh ya... i prepared dinner some day and while cutting the onions, i cried!

the power of onions cant be underestimated!
