31 Dec 05

If we need any reason for a big outing, well its the last day of 2005! Thanks to Mook Yong and the rest of the peeps (not sure who they are) for planning the trip as it was indeed a fun-filled day. Finally our bus pass can be fully utilised haha.

Headed to Alki beach park and their beach was much much better than the one back home. Everything seemed to blend well - the sandy beach, the clear water, the blue sky, the birdies, and not to mention the noisy lot of us! Took lotsa photos as we walked and sank deeper into the relaxing surroundings. Had lunch at Spud's fish and chip restaurant. The fish is real fresh except that its abit salty.

Along our trip we stopped by Krispy Kreme! Yes its the all too famous donut store which has its own unique donut theatre experience blah blah blah. Too bad they aint making any donuts on the spot! savoured one donut into my mouth and its really delicious! it can be improved by reducing their sugar to 50% though. nevertheless felt so happy that i finally had a chance to step into Krispy Kreme. Its too good a dream to be true!

Next stop shall be Pike's marketplace. The first starbucks in the world was situated here and coffee aroma filled the store. Of course we placed our order for the original starbucks coffee and it was bitter! guess i aint a coffee lover though hee. and not to mention that the seafood that we saw along our way there were so huge!

As people have already made plans to celebrate the New Year, restaurants and shops closed early that day. As a result, we had McDonald's US$1 burger for dinner. sounds kind of pathetic ya but its the company that counts.

Wanted to go up to the space needle to look at the night view of Seattle but its closed! We figured that we can return back to Acacia Court to watch the fireworks from our rooftop (7th floor). Cameras are prepared to capture the fireworks but it was disappointing! from our view, the fireworks are just so miserably few and it doesnt have the impact like those national day parade. we ended with a toast and all went back to their rooms with drowsy dreams.
